Redland Riot Driving Directions

Start: Take the Turnpike to SW 216 Street. Go west to US1. Take US1 south to SW 224 Street.

1. Cauley Square - 22400 Old Dixie Highway
Cauley Square is on the west side of US1 at SW 224 Street. Park the car and enjoy the numerous shops.

2. Burr's Berry Farm - 12741 SW 216 Street
West to SW 124 Ave, turn right, go north to SW 216 Street, turn left, 4 blocks west to Burr's Berry Farm. Strawberries and fresh fruit milk shakes are the specialty.

3. Anderson's Corner - 15700 SW 232 Street
West to SW 157 Ave, turn left. South to SW 232 Street. Anderson's Corner pioneer era general store is not open, but notice how it remains true to the original form as you drive by the property.

4. Knaus Berry Farm - 15980 SW 248 Street
South on SW 157 Ave to SW 248 Street, turn right. East 3 blocks to Knaus Berry Farm on the left side, across from the school. Get in line for fresh fruit milk shakes, strawberries, honey, jams, pies, cakes, brownies, herb bread and cinnamon sticky buns. As you leave heading west, notice the old Farm Life School on the right has a new red roof.

5. Fruit and Spice Park - 24801 SW 187 Avenue
West on SW 248 Street to SW 187 Ave, turn left. The Fruit and Spice Park is on your left. Enter through the gift shop, loaded with goodies. This building is a re-creation of the original one room schoolhouse. Enjoy tasting unusual fruits and wander around the grounds, or take a short guided tour.

6. Pioneer Guild Hall - 26400 SW 187 Avenue
South on SW 187 Ave to SW 264 Street. Pioneer Guild Hall is on your right. Now a gas station and convenience store, this historic property remains virtually unchanged after a century at this location.

7. R.F. Orchids - 28100 SW 182 Avenue
South to SW 280 Street, turn left (street sign missing). East to SW 182 Ave, turn right, go one block south to RF Orchids. If you arrive at 3pm, Robert Fuchs will give you a special guided tour of the gardens -- not to be missed.

8. Schnebly Redland's Winery - 30205 SW 217 Avenue
South on SW 182 Ave to SW 296 Street, turn right. Go west to SW 217 Ave, turn left 4 blocks to Schnebly Redland's Winery. The wine tasting room is a small building next to the large building. Taste Peter Schnebly's tropical fruit wines and choose your favorites to take home.

9. Robert Is Here - 19200 SW 344 Street
South on SW 217 Ave, turn left at SW 344 Street. East to SW 192 Ave. Robert Is Here is on the right. Load up on flavored honeys, sauces, dressings, jams and jellies, exotic fruits, citrus and of course, fresh fruit milk shakes.

10 Florida Pioneer Museum - 826 North Krome (SW 177th Avenue)
East on SW 344 Street to SW 177 Ave (Krome), turn left. North to Pioneer Museum, on left, featuring many artifacts from the pioneer era. It closes at 5pm.

11. Redland Hotel - 5 South Flagler Avenue
North on SW 177th Ave (Krome) to Flagler, turn right at 45 degree angle, northeast to Redland Hotel on right. Enter the hotel lobby, decorated with authentic photos and items from the pioneer era. The restaurant is on the right and the bar is straight ahead. If you run into your tour guide there, buy him a drink.
